TO DO
01
YOUR writing scheduLE AND TIMELINE TO DISSERTATION DEFENSE
YOUR WRITING DOCUMENTS:
Schedule a meeting with your dissertation chair(s) ASAP to make sure your dissertation defense date, revision timeline, and graduation plan are clearly communicated. Share your Timeline to Completion and Task-Based Outline with them.
Be sure to check your home department and institution's deadlines for filing dissertations and applying for graduation. These will vary, depending on which university you attend.
YOUR WRITING SCHEDULE:
While job market activities may lessen during the spring, this semester will require a rededication to your dissertation writing practice.
Plan to write at least four days per week.
Your Task-based Outline will help you determine how much you need to work each workday. Keep in mind that most of us underestimate how much time a writing task takes.
